Rebecca had been advising on this site since 2019 and work is on-going in 2023.
In 2013, it was subject to an outline planning application, which was approved in 2015 thereby releasing the site from the Green Belt and allocating it for housing.
Work has comprised reserved matters applications of 100 dwellings for Phase 1, and 141 dwellings for Phase 2, and more recently Oriel Planning has worked on applications for 110 dwellings Phase 3 and a full application for Phase 4 providing 54 homes.
Alongside the reserved matters applications, the outline consent required design codes to be approved for each phase of the site. We acted as the planning lead on these matters and worked closely alongside the client, project architect and the LPA to reach a final design code that will ensure that High Leigh Garden Village is a visually attractive and well-considered place. We also supported on engagement activities with councilors and local people.
We are now advising Land Improvement Holdings on future phases.
